January 2009

January 1st

We rang in the New Year here at my parents house with family and friends. Trevor went to sleep around 9:00 pm and woke up at 11:45 pm. He wanted to welcome 2009 with the rest of us.

Trevor turned 5 months old. He had his first trip to the beach. Yes this beach in January. The sun was out but the water was so cold. Trevor loved to look around and took a long nap but he hated putting his feet in the water and sand.

Doesn't like the cold water on his toes.

Checkin out all the people at the beach.

Janaury 6th

We went to Orlando for our appointment with Dr. Nykanen, Trevor's cardiologist. We discussed the upcoming surgery and pre-op cath. Dr. Nykanen was happy with all of Trevor's numbers and EKG.

Janaury 9th

We celebrated Ashley's 22nd Birthday at Outback. We came back to the house and had cake. Jay left for Gaurd Duty in Jacksonville shotly after we got home.

I was scheduled to take my Teacher General Knowledge Test at FIT as a pre-req for University of Central Florida. Trevor was running a temperature and breathing funny. We wound up in the ER for about 6 hours. Because of his complicated history they decided they would transfer us back to Arnold Palmer. After talking with the Cardiologist on call and starting poor Trevor's IV, they decided he had a Viral Infection and there was nothing they could do but let it run it's course. So we got to go home and Trevor kept me up all night.

Janaury 11th

Trevor started feeling a little better and his fever broke. Jay came home that night.
January 12th

We had an appointment for followup with Trevor's pediatrician. We continued Tylenol around the clock and the humidifior at night as she ordered.

Trevor had his cardiac cath, where they found a narrowing in his aorta again (from scar tissue). They performed an angioplasty which stretched the area. We had to stay over night.
